Svendborg Aiki Shuren Dojo was founded in March 2007 by Thomas Jessen, 4rd dan. The dojo has approximately 25 members consisting of children, juniors and adults.

The dojo is an official member of the Shin Shin Aiki Shuren Kai led by Hitohira Saito Sensei based in Iwama, Japan.

Head instructor Thomas Jessen has so far spent 8 months training in Iwama, living as both soto-deshi and uchi-deshi from 2004 to 2011.
